BioGalion was born in the Falas, during the last age of the chaining of Melkor, the son of a herbalist and a poet. He was apprenticed in his father’s trade at a young age, and came to specialize in the making of bath oils. However, as a youth, he was more interested in travel, and aspired to one day become a great warrior. Nevertheless, he persevered with the life of a craftsman, making frequent journeys between his birthplace and the city of Menegroth, where he came to be known by the nobility, and was employed for a time at the court of Thingol.
Around the time of the unchaining of Melkor, he returned to the Falas, to work as an apothecary. It was in this role that he first encountered the Noldor, on their arrival in Beleriand, since he tended to many of the people of Fingolfin. In this way he became closely attached to them and came to join Turgon’s company, which set out to found Gondolin. There he settled to begin a herbals business, switching to sell only luxury bath products and soaps as the city grew more prosperous.
Galion is dedicated to his work, takes great interest in the physiological benefits of certain aromas, and pride in the quality of his unique concoctions. He is always polite and friendly, and talks freely with his customers, but seems to have no interest in romance. He also tries to keep abreast of everything going on around him, has strong, but rarely articulated political opinions, and occasionally attends meetings of the League of Unaffiliated Tradesmen.
